The term freeze party or freeze mob (more rarely) is sometimes used, wrongly, as a synonym of flash mob. Freeze the party are in fact a particular kind of flash mob: it is a flash mob where the action is that all participants remain frozen (freeze in translating into English the French term freezing ) for a short period of time.
